
After contacting the driver, 29-year old Suspect Harry Kaladjian of Lancaster, they discovered that he was driving with a suspended driver's license and he was on active probation.
Based on his probation status, the deputies went to his home located in the 7200 block of West Avenue A in Unincorporated Lancaster, to conduct a probation compliance check.
Once inside the home, they found a sophisticated marijuana growing operation.
Several rooms inside the home had been converted into growing areas, complete with planting beds and artificial lighting. The deputies recovered approximately 800 plants in various stages of growth. They also recovered several large plastic bags full of processed marijuana.
n addition to the marijuana growing operation, the deputies also found a “hash oil” processing area.
The marijuana has an estimated street value of one million dollars.
The investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the Sheriff’s Department’s Narcotics Bureau.
In addition to the driver of the car, deputies arrested eight other suspects who were inside the home. It is unclear if all of the suspects lived at the home.
