Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect believed to have committed 12 robberies throughout Los Angeles County.
The suspect is described as a male Black in his 30's, 600-602 tall, 225-250 pounds, salt and pepper hair, wearing a ball cap and armed with a semi automatic pistol.
Early in the series the suspect wore a green reflective safety vest during the robberies.
Since November 2011, the suspect has robbed several Walgreens and CVS drug stores in Torrance, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Carson, Norwalk, Long Beach and Lomita.
The most recent robbery occurred on March 18, 2012 at a CVS store in the city of Lomita. The suspect was armed with a handgun during each robbery and should be considered armed and dangerous
Detectives are releasing surveillance photos of the suspect in hopes that someone will recognize him and come forward before he strikes again.
“This is one of the most active armed robbers in Los Angeles County this year,” commented Lieutenant Kent Wegener of the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Detail. “We are hoping that the public will help us identify him before his violence escalates.”
