Responding to a report of a shooting, officers arrived at the 12100 block of San Fernando road Saturday at about 8:40 p.m. and discovered the boy lying on the floor with an apparent stab wound, according to an LAPD statement.
Amber Reed, 20, was arrested and charged with the murder of her brother, police said. She is being held in lieu of $1-million bail.
According to detectives, the siblings were arguing over money when Reed grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed her brother in the chest. Parrish Reed was transported to a local hospital where he later died, said Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the LA County coroner’s office.

Amber Reed is currently being held in the Van Nuys Police Department jail on $1,000,000 bail she will be in court later this week. We will update the story if the bail information changes.
