The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a male suspect wanted in connection with several indecent exposure incidents towards girls, and detectives a...re advising the community to be alert to their surroundings.
There have been several reported incidents that began while school was still in session in the spring. In each of the incidents, the victims, who were middle and high school age girls, were either waiting at bus stops or on their way to school when the suspect pulled up alongside the curb in a vehicle asking them for directions. As the victims looked into the car, the suspect exposed himself to them.
With Long Beach schools back in session next week, Wednesday, September 5th, Long Beach Police would like to remind students and their parents to pay attention to who and what is going on around them, and to report any suspicious persons or activity immediately by calling 9-1-1.
In these incidents, the suspect and vehicle have been described as follows, and have occurred on the dates, times and locations listed below:
White or Hispanic, 20 to 40 years-old, 5’8" to 5’10” and approximately 160 lbs with black hair, and was seen wearing a hooded sweater with blue jeans in some of the incidents.
Older model 4-door black sedan with a boxy style, possibly a Honda Accord, with black and silver rims with a red or pinkish color on the rims or tires.
