Here at All American Bail Bonds it has come to our attention that Between June 2008, and August 2012, a joint investigation was conducted by investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department - Commercial Crimes Bureau, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Investigations Division into fraudulent documents being sold out of a traffic school.
The investigation focused on Otto Escobar, the owner of “OK Driving School”, 6743 Hazeltine Avenue, Van Nuys.
Suspect Otto Escobar would allegedly manufacture traffic school completion certificates, Guatemalan passports, and Department of Homeland Security forms regarding temporary entry into the United States. Escobar then sold these fraudulent documents from his driving school to the public and undercover law enforcement officers.
On July 31, 2012, investigators served search warrants at Escobar’s Van Nuys business, his Granada Hills residence, and his vehicle. Among the evidence seized, from the three locations, were dozens of rubber stamps with fraudulent State and Federal seals, several reams of blank DMV paper containing the State of California seal, and several blank Guatemalan passports.
Escobar was arrested and booked at West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station on charges of 134 P.C. (Preparing False Documents for Court) with a $20,000 bail. Additional federal charges are pending.
Escobar posted bond and is currently out of custody.
