Deputy Involved Shooting in Palmdale Suspect/Child Deceased, By Palmdale Bail Bondsman

As a bail bonding service with a highly active office located in Palmdale ca All American Bail Bonds is often given information ahead of the public. This information was provided by the L.A. County Sheriffs Department.

Deputy-Involved Shooting with kidnapping suspect/father of baby. Kidnapped Palmdale baby dies tragically.

A 5-month baby has tragically died and a suspect who was involved in a Deputy-Involved Shooting in Palmdale is also deceased.

Palmdale Sheriff's Station deputies responded to a report of a child abduction in Palmdale at about 11:00AM, Tuesday.

They were told that a 17-year suspect had kidnapped his 5-month old baby son from a person who was taking care of the baby, and drove away.

As deputies investigated the kidnapping, the suspect phoned the mother of the baby and threatened to harm him.

An Amber Alert was issued which included notifying all area police agencies and the news media.

At about 3:35PM, Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies who were searching for the suspect and baby saw the suspect driving in the area and began to follow him. The deputies saw the suspect motion in a manner that appeared as though he was stabbing the baby as he drove his car. Attempting to get him to stop, deputies went in pursuit of the suspect's vehicle. After about 2-3 minutes, the suspect was involved in a single-vehicle collision, striking a building.

The suspect got out of the car and ran, and deputies chased him on foot.

Other deputies ran to the suspect's car, picked up the baby, and raced him to the hospital in their radio car. Unfortunately, the baby was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Deputies chased the suspect and saw him attempting to break into the home of a family the suspect didn't know, and a Deputy-Involved Shooting occurred. The suspect was able to break into the home, with deputies chasing after him. A second Deputy-Involved Shooting occurred inside the home.

The suspect is deceased.

No deputies were injured.

Whenever a Deputy-Involved Shooting occurs involving Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies, and it results in a fatality, multiple independent investigations immediately begin at the scene. These include separate investigations by the Office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney, as well as investigations by Sheriff's Homicide Bureau and Internal Affairs Bureau. Attorneys with the Los Angeles Office of Independent Review also respond to the scene, and have full access to the facts known to the Sheriff's Department throughout every phase of these investigations. Once concluded, every aspect of the shooting is reviewed by the Sheriff's Executive Force Review Committee.

No Bail for Man arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, indecent exposure incidents in Palmdale and Lancaster, From Bail Bondsman in Palmdale/Lancaster

An Antelope Valley man has been arrested on suspicion of exposing himself to more than a dozen women in the Lancaster and Palmdale areas and allegedly holding a woman against her will with intent to sexually assault her, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said Monday.

Authorities said that Terrance Lamount Smith, 21, exposed himself to at least 16 women and girls in incidents reported at apartment buildings around 25th Street West and Avenue J-4 in Lancaster.

Smith, who most recently was arrested April 19 on a probation violation, has been charged by the Los Angeles County district attorney's office with 18 counts: three felonies and 15 misdemeanors.

Smith had previously pleaded no contest to charges including assault with a firearm, causing great bodily injury and vandalism. He also has previous probation violations. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 13 years in state prison, prosecutors said.

Sheriff's investigators said the suspect would go to the common areas of apartment buildings and target lone females, ranging in age from 13 to 58.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker said deputies set up surveillance operations in the areas where the victims lived.

"From there, they were able to identify several men who matched the description of the suspect," Parker said. "Ultimately, one of the suspects was identified by victims who picked the defendant out of a photo lineup."

After serving a search warrant at Smith's home, authorities said they found evidence tying him to the crimes and said he eventually confessed.

Sheriff's officials did not release specifics about the assault that took place in February, citing the ongoing investigation. But they said the incident took place in the laundry room of an apartment complex in Palmdale.

"The victims who reported these crimes helped us to detect a pattern that enabled us to make this arrest," Parker said.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Lancaster sheriff's detectives at (661) 948-8466.

Detectives foil cable power box theft ring in Palmdale, from Bail Bondsman in Palmdale

Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives have foiled a Palmdale crime spree involving the theft of more than $70,000 worth of cable power boxes, authorities said today.

On Tuesday, a resident reported seeing two men removing items from a cable junction box near the 35400 block of 85th Street East, authorities said.

The suspects were operating out of a black Chevrolet Camaro, and when deputies tried to detain the car, one of the suspects fled on foot, authorities said.

The other suspect, Louis Merlin, 18, of Palmdale, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft after deputies found three stolen power supply units from the cable junction box in the car, authorities said.

Further investigation led detectives today to the home of the other suspect near the 900 block of East Avenue Q. Detectives arrested Ismael Sarabia, 20, whose stepfather, Walter Avila, 31, also was arrested after detectives found evidence linking both men to the theft ring, authorities said.

Law enforcement officials believe the trio may be responsible for the theft of about 35 power supply units, which are valued at $2,000 each.

The suspects apparently opened the cable boxes with a key, which Avila allegedly acquired while working for subcontractors installing cable in neighborhood developments, sheriff's officials said.
