Jeff Chavez is grossly mistaken. The court hearing he is referring to was in a small claims court where an attorney is not allowed to attend. He was contact and was told we wouldnt be there and appropriate data would be sent in our place considering we couldnt attend a small claims matter. He was advised he could attend but was his choice. Jeff Chavez has grossly misread the case minutes and is completely mistaken on the course of events. There has been ZERO money dispersed from the bank levy and RMS is in receipt of NO monies from this case. Had he read the file or called he would have been advised accordingly.

How You can Help Donate to Japan and Avoid Fraud, From Bail Bondsman In Long Beach

At All American Bail Bonds we regularly receive Advisory Messages from the L.A. County Sheriffs Department and other Law Enforcement Agencies.

The Following is info to help you avoid Fraud and still help others in need.

 Monday March 14, 2011 8:23 PM PDT
With crisis comes fraud. How you can help Japan (and yourself)
Best wishes to the Los Angeles County Fire Department Technical Services Division - California Task Force 2, who are in Japan assisting with the earthquake and tsunami recovery efforts.

Meanwhile, many members of the public want to help too. Experts indicate that the best donation is money so that supplies can be purchased close to the affected areas. This saves on transportation costs and logistics.

Unfortunately, while many people are extending a helping hand, criminals use the opportunity to cheat and steal from those who are trying to help those in need.

The following three sections will help you make a better decision on how to provide help to others while protecting yourself, if you decide to assist:

1. Protect yourself from fraud

A. The Federal Trade Commission, the nation's consumer protection agency, has provided a "charity checklist" to advise consumers about donating wisely to charities.
If you are asked to contribute to a charity, you should:

a. Ask for the name of the charity if the telemarketer does not provide it promptly;
b. Ask what percentage of your donation will support the cause described in the solicitation;
c. Verify that the charity has authorized the solicitation;
d. Do not provide any credit card or bank information until you have reviewed all information from the charity and made the decision to donate;
e. Ask for a receipt showing the amount of the contribution and stating that it is tax deductible; and
f. Avoid cash gifts. For security and tax record purposes, it's best to pay by check - made payable to the beneficiary, not the solicitor.

The FTC works to prevent fraudulent, deceptive and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid them. To file a complaint or get free information on consumer issues, visit www.ftc.gov or call toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357); TTY: 1-866-653-4261. Watch a new video, How to File a Complaint, at ftc.gov/video to learn more.

The FTC enters consumer complaints into the Consumer Sentinel Network, a secure online database and investigative tool used by more than 1,800 civil and criminal law enforcement agencies in the U.S. and abroad.

B. The State of California Department of Justice, Office of the California Attorney General, regulates charities and the professional fundraisers who solicit on their behalf. The purpose of this oversight is to protect charitable assets for their intended use and ensure that the charitable donations contributed by Californians are not misapplied and squandered through fraud or other means. The main elements of the Attorney General´s regulatory program are found as the following link:

http://oag.ca.gov/charities

Charity Research Tool

A searchable database of the information returns that charities file annually with the IRS is available on the Attorney General´s website. The database allows donors to research a charity before making a decision to give:

http://oag.ca.gov/charities/charity-research-tool#Location:Default

2. What and where to donate

If you are looking for a list of non profit charities that are working with the Japanese government, visit the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, at

www.usaid.gov

In response to the earthquake and Tsunami in Japan, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is dispatching a Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) and has mobilized its partners, the Fairfax County Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Team and the Los Angeles County Search and Rescue Team. Each USAR team will be composed of approximately 72 personnel, search and rescue canines and approximately 75 tons of rescue equipment. The USAR teams will be accompanied by USAID disaster experts who will assist with assessments of the situation.

3. How you can help

Following a major disaster, most relief organizations and emergency responder agencies are extremely busy, even if they are outside the affected area. Organizations can become overwhelmed with too many volunteers. The best time to sign-up to volunteer is during a non-disaster time. This allows you to train with a disaster relief organization to be ready when the next emergency strikes.

To find a training or volunteer opportunity go to www.California Volunteers.org and enter your zip code, select "Public Safety and Disaster Preparedness" from the pull down menu. You will receive a list of potential opportunities in your area, such as joining a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

25 yr old Long Beach Homicide, Suspect arrested, From Bail Bondsman in Long Beach

We at All American Bail Bonds have recently received information regarding the arrest of a homicide suspect of murder that happened over 25 yrs ago, The Following information was provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department for release to the public.

Wednesday March 9, 2011 7:06 PM PST

Long Beach homicide suspect arrested, 25 yrs later
On April 29, 1985, 23-year old Joanne Marie Jones, an aspiring model, seemingly disappeared in the city of Long Beach, California.

After spending the weekend at her boyfriend's Long Beach home, Joanne left at 5:30AM to go to work in the city of West Covina, but she never made it there. Her car, a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro, had been parked at the corner of 1st and Cherry Avenue in the city of Long Beach, but it was also missing.
Several days later, Stafford Joel Spicer, 33, a White male, was spotted driving the victim’s car in the city of Long Beach. Spicer was subsequently arrested by Long Beach Police Department officers.

On June 8, 1985, Joanne's body was discovered by hikers on a dirt roadway in a remote area of Azusa Canyon, east of Highway 39 on East Fork Rd, Azusa. The Coroner's Office determined that she had been stabbed to death.

The Homicide investigation was handled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Given what was known at the time that her body was found, and what was known about Spicer driving her car, there was insufficient evidence to pursue murder charges against Spicer in a court of law.

In 2009, Sheriff’s Homicide Cold Case Detective Steve Davis re-opened this case. He uncovered additional biological evidence (DNA), and along with advances in technology and additional investigative follow-up, the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, which determined there was sufficient evidence for a homicide case to be filed.

An arrest warrant for murder was issued for Suspect Stafford Joel Spicer, who is now 59 years of age, unemployed, and living in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada.

On Tuesday, March 8, 2011, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers, assisted by Cold Case Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, served an arrest warrant at the home of Suspect Spicer, in the 3000 block of Cabana Avenie in Las Vegas. Spicer was taken into custody without incident at about 5:00PM.

He is currently being held in the city of Las Vegas Detention Center pending extradition to California.

5yr Old Child Kidnapped in 09 Found, From Bail Bondsman in Carson

All American Bail Bonds in Carson has received this update regarding a five year old child who was kidnapped from Rancho Palos Verdes back in 2009 was recently found in New Orleans.
The information was provided by the L.A. County Sheriffs Department.

Tuesday March 8, 2011 12:08 PM PST
5-yr old RPV child abducted in Carson in 2009 found in New Orleans.
A 5-year child Rancho Palos Verdes child, abducted from a Carson child care center when he was three, was recovered safely in Louisiana on Friday. His parents were arrested in New Orleans by police officers and deputy United States Marshals.

Shalomiel Sol-El was placed into the care of his grandparents by the courts years ago, after repeated attempts by the County of Los Angeles to assist the parents in the proper care for Shalomiel. Shalomiel was suffering from numerous medical conditions that could have been prevented with the proper care and medication, but his parents refused to provide the child with necessary medical appointments, dental exams, occupational therapists and ophthalmology appointments.

Shalomiel was eventually placed with his maternal grandparents where a significant change was immediately evident. Shalomiel’s medical conditions improved and his speech was starting to develop.

Then, during a court appointed visitation on April 25, 2009 at a child care center in Carson, his parents allegedly abducted him.

The child's adbduction was investigated by detectives with the Carson Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The case was referred to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for assistance, after all leads had been exhausted by sheriff’s detectives.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, who work in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Service and all police agencies, assigned the case to the Sex Offender Investigations Branch in Los Angeles which specializes in the apprehension of violent and high risk sex offenders, as well as handling child abduction cases.

Extensive efforts were made to find the child without success. This included extensive publicity and following up on any possible tips that resulted.

It seemed as though Shalomiel and his parents had disappeared without a trace for almost two years. Then on February 20, 2011, persistent police work by an observant National Park Services police officer resulted in the arrest of Ausar Allah-El, the father of the missing child.

While on patrol in New Orleans, Louisiana, the officer noticed something odd about a male who was panhandling at a park on his patrol route. Officer Pickard interviewed the panhandler and noticed he was nervous as he texted someone on his cellular phone. A warrants check revealed that the panhandler was Suspect Ausar Allah-El, who was wanted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for child abduction.

When Allah-El was placed into custody he indicated that his wife and child were with him in New Orleans.

With Allah-El in custody, the officer immediately notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children who in turn relayed the information to the case agent in Los Angeles.

The two week search for the mother and child was coordinated by the U.S. Marshals Sex offender Investigations Branch in Los Angeles and the Sex Offender Investigations Branch in New Orleans. They were assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force in conjunction with the Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Through multiple interviews and relentless investigative work, especially by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in New Orleans and New Orleans police officers, the child's mother, Suspect Serenity Sol-El was found on Friday, March 4, and placed under arrest.

Most importantly, the mother had five year old Shalomiel with her. Shalomiel was extremely malnourished and only weighed 38 pounds. He was immediately taken into protective custody.

"Shalomiel has made the trip from New Orleans back to Rancho Palos Verdes, and has been returned to the custody of his maternal grandparents," said Deputy U.S. Marshal David Dominguez. "He is beginning to adjust to living in a normal environment. Doctors say that although the recovery process will take a while, Shalomiel should thrive with the proper medical attention. Shalomiel is already scheduled to attend school and is getting his appetite back.

Suspects Ausar Allah-El and Serenity Sol-El are in custody in New Orleans for charges related to the alleged child abduction, with bail set at $100,000.00. Extradition to Los Angeles County is being sought by sheriff's investigators.

Dog Fighting Ring leads to arrest in the A.V., From Bail Bondsman in Palmdale

We at All American Bail Bonds were recently notified of the following information provided by the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department.

Dog fighting at residence leads to 17 dogs, arrests, cocaine, & kids taken into protective custody

An alleged dog fighting training operation at a Lake Los Angeles home was shut down today by sheriff’s deputies, and a couple was arrested for training dogs to fight, as well as for possession of cocaine. Their four children were taken into protective custody and seventeen pit bull dogs were recovered by animal control officers.

The dog fighting investigation began when a confidential informant called the LA County 24-hour Dog Fighting Tipline (877-662-3483) to report that people were training dogs for fighting. The tip was reported to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, who relayed the information to deputies in the Antelope Valley so it could be investigated.

Over the next month, Deputies Robert Ferrell and Fred Hill with the Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) Bureau, investigated the dog fighting case, working with officers from the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control, and Lancaster Sheriff’s Station deputies. The deputies ultimately found sufficient probable cause to be able to obtain a search warrant.

At about 4:30AM Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies from COPS Bureau, Lancaster, and Palmdale Stations, joined by L.A. Co. Animal Control officers and LA Co. Dept. of Children and Family Services, went to the home on the 41000 block of 178th St. East, Lake Los Angeles.

Once there, they found an elaborate dog fighting and training operation.

On the property they found seventeen pit bull dogs, some of which were tied to stakes in the yard. Dried blood was found on a portable wooden fighting ring that was leaning against a wall.

They also found a large amount of medical supplies, including surgical tools and medication, IV saline solution, and syringes to administer medicine and to treat the dogs. Surgical tools and supplies, used to stitch up the dogs after being wounded in fights, were recovered.

Three treadmill type machines, used for the compelled physical conditioning of the dogs, were located. One of them was made of wooden slats.

Training records for the dogs, and study guides on the breeding of dogs and dog fighting were recovered.

All of the dogs were removed from the location by Animal Control officers. Many of the dogs found at the property had injuries.

Approximately one ounce of cocaine was also recovered.

Suspect Jesse Jimenez, 43, and his wife Suspect Yvette Jimenez, 41, were arrested at the residence for felony dog fighting (which includes training dogs to fight) and possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). They were transported and booked at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Later, during the interview process, both suspects admitted to their roles in the activity.

The dog fighting has apparently been going on in various areas in the Antelope Valley for several years.

Due to the circumstances, the couple’s four children, aged 1, 10, 12, and 14 were taken into protective custody by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.

Dog fighting, cock-fighting, and other forms of animal fighting are not a sport, they are a felony. So is animal cruelty.

A conviction for felony animal cruelty can result in a sentence of up to 3 years in prison.

The LA County 24-hour Dog Fighting Tipline (877-NO2FITE or 877-662-3483, is funded in part by the Humane Society of the U.S. Up to $5,000.00 is offered for information that leads to an arrest or conviction of people engaging in the training or fighting of dogs. The identity of callers will remain confidential.

Deputy Involved Shooting in Palmdale Suspect/Child Deceased, By Palmdale Bail Bondsman

As a bail bonding service with a highly active office located in Palmdale ca All American Bail Bonds is often given information ahead of the public. This information was provided by the L.A. County Sheriffs Department.

Deputy-Involved Shooting with kidnapping suspect/father of baby. Kidnapped Palmdale baby dies tragically.

A 5-month baby has tragically died and a suspect who was involved in a Deputy-Involved Shooting in Palmdale is also deceased.

Palmdale Sheriff's Station deputies responded to a report of a child abduction in Palmdale at about 11:00AM, Tuesday.

They were told that a 17-year suspect had kidnapped his 5-month old baby son from a person who was taking care of the baby, and drove away.

As deputies investigated the kidnapping, the suspect phoned the mother of the baby and threatened to harm him.

An Amber Alert was issued which included notifying all area police agencies and the news media.

At about 3:35PM, Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies who were searching for the suspect and baby saw the suspect driving in the area and began to follow him. The deputies saw the suspect motion in a manner that appeared as though he was stabbing the baby as he drove his car. Attempting to get him to stop, deputies went in pursuit of the suspect's vehicle. After about 2-3 minutes, the suspect was involved in a single-vehicle collision, striking a building.

The suspect got out of the car and ran, and deputies chased him on foot.

Other deputies ran to the suspect's car, picked up the baby, and raced him to the hospital in their radio car. Unfortunately, the baby was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Deputies chased the suspect and saw him attempting to break into the home of a family the suspect didn't know, and a Deputy-Involved Shooting occurred. The suspect was able to break into the home, with deputies chasing after him. A second Deputy-Involved Shooting occurred inside the home.

The suspect is deceased.

No deputies were injured.

Whenever a Deputy-Involved Shooting occurs involving Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies, and it results in a fatality, multiple independent investigations immediately begin at the scene. These include separate investigations by the Office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney, as well as investigations by Sheriff's Homicide Bureau and Internal Affairs Bureau. Attorneys with the Los Angeles Office of Independent Review also respond to the scene, and have full access to the facts known to the Sheriff's Department throughout every phase of these investigations. Once concluded, every aspect of the shooting is reviewed by the Sheriff's Executive Force Review Committee.

L.A. County Telephone Scam, From Bail Bondsman in Long Beach

We at All American Bail Bonds have recently come across a telephone scam being used by inmates located in the Los Angeles County Jail Facilities. The telephone scam came to our attention when one of the inmates attempted to use the scam on us at our Long Beach office, the scam goes like this.

You get a call from an inmate posing to be a trustee whose responsibility is to notify families members of an emergency issue with someone they know in custody. The inmate tells the victim caller that they are not privy to the details of the inmates situation and that they must call another number for a sheriffs deputy to get the details.

Well the number they provide starts with the prefix of *72 and than a seven digit number (Example *72-310-555-1212), now for those who don’t know, when you use *72 before a phone number your forwarding your line to the callers line who answers to accept the forwarding.

After the line has been forwarded the inmate can call the forwarded number collect and their partner in crime gets the calls, of course the forwarded number receives the bill for all of those collect calls.

F.Y.I., If you forward your number to another line than you can unforward the line by dialing *73.

If you find yourself a victim of this scam than you should immediately notify your phone carrier to see if they can possible reverse the charges.

Also we have been notified that the Los Angeles County Sheriff is aware of the scam and they have been alerting the public.

The California Public Utilities Commission has also been made aware of the phone scam and if you have any further questions you can contact them at 800-649-7570.

Safety Tips for Parents on how they may protect their Children from Harm, From Bail Bondsman in Los Angles

Recently in Los Angeles a story came about a 14 year girl who was abducted from a local metro station by a black male approximately in his mid-30's, the child was taken to local residence and sexually assaulted.
Fortunately the child was able to escape and notify sheriff’s deputies.

As of the the date of this article The Suspect is still at large!

After such stories parents may often wonder on what they can do to protect their children from having to endure such a horrific encounter.

We at All American Bail Bonds have found the following info which has been provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

* Travel with a friend, or better yet, a group of friends when riding your bike or walking to or from school or other destinations.

* If a stranger offers you a ride somewhere, say no, and run away. Adults should define "stranger" and give safety tip examples to help youth, especially young ones, know what you mean.

* If someone follows you on foot, get away as quickly as you can. Go to someone's house you know, or run to other people, or just run away.

* If someone is following you in a car, turn around and go in the opposite direction or take a path where a car would not go.

* Never leave school or any other extracurricular activity or event with someone who makes you feel uncomfortable. Moms or dads should tell their youngster that it is okay in these circumstances to not ride home, but that also means adults should have an established communications method along with these safety tip guidelines so that the kid does not end up stranded or alone.

* If a stranger tells you that there is an emergency or that a family member is hurt or that a pet has been in an accident, always check with your mom or dad or other trusted adults. This is a common trick used by many molesters or kidnappers.
* Adults should establish "safe houses" where kids feel comfortable in knocking on their door at any time a situation warrants it. Be sure to get approval from the neighbors/homeowners first before designating a home as a "safe house." If possible, have a neighborhood safety tip meeting and have residents agree to watch after one another.

* Parents should be cautious about blatant use of a child's name on a back pack or jacket. Kids sometimes believe that a person can't be a stranger if they know them by name, when the reality is that their name was easily readable on their attire or the individual heard a youngster's name mentioned.

* Adults should understand that boys are at just as greatest of risk as girls. It is a common safety tip misconception that child molesters or perpetrators are typically men and seek only girls. Molesters come in all ages and both genders, and their victims can be of either sex.

* Parents should begin reinforcing these safety tips as soon as a kid is old enough to understand, and above all, ensure that their child feels comfortable enough in discussing these issues, their concerns or fears, or any potentially inappropriate events that have possibly transpired. Awareness of these safety tips can help kids be less susceptible to any stranger dangers.

Citizen Unrest in Long Beach, By Bail Bondsman in Long each Ca

Dozens of Long Beach residents and concerned citizens joined in a rally today in Long Beach to show their concern for alleged police brutality steaming from the unnecessary use of deadly force within the Long Beach Police Department. Much of the citizens concern was regarding a local man who was shot and killed by Long Beach Police officers back in December 2010. The man in question was Long Beach resident Doug Zerby who was at friend’s house on the 5300 block of Ocean Boulevard near Glendora Ave.

Zerby was shot and killed after he allegedly pointed a garden hose attachment at officers, the officers believing the hose attachment was a gun, opened fire on the young father killing him. It has been reported by other news outlets that Zerby may have been under the influence of alcohol and also that the officers never identified themselves nor gave the victim the opportunity to drop the hose attachment before they opened fire.

It must be noted that the officers were dispatched after a 911 call of a man with a small fireman was reported by neighbors.

As a bail bonding company we often deal with police officers as well as fugitives who would threaten our lives. We understand the concern officers have when they respond to situations where violence may be inevitable. The job of law enforcement can be one of the constant fear of the unknown and concern for their own safety. Law enforcement is tough and we highly respect all those who choose that profession.

As a law abiding citizen, I personally appreciate any citizens’ group who would remind local law enforcement that WE our watching, and that if it is proven that any man or woman who uses the badge in a way that violates the law or ones constitutional rights shall be held accountable and prosecuted to the highest most severe extent of the law!

We respect the badge but will not allow dishonor of the profession of law enforcement officer!

The information provided regarding Douglas Zerby came from other media outlets and we At All American Bail Bonds pray for the family who lost their loved one and if it found that the use of deadly force was not the right course of action than we hope the Long Beach Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department takes the proper action and remains completely transparent with ALL of their actions!

Bailing out of the Long Beach Jail, By Bail Bondsman in Long Beach Ca

Being a Lakewood / Long Beach based Bail Bondsman working with All American Bail Bonds we often receive calls from the concerned loved ones of those who have been arrested in Long Beach and are being held at the Long Beach jail. One of the main concerns for those loved ones is getting the arrestees out of jail as quickly as possible; this blog entry is dedicated to those individuals.
We at All American Bail Bonds have multiple offices throughout Los Angeles County but I do believe working the Long Beach area can be the most frustrating. The booking process in the Long Beach jail can be up to 12 hours and God forbid if their booking systems are down it can be up 24 hours or longer.

When one is arrested in Long Beach they do have the opportunity to contact a bail bondsman from inside the jail or they can use the phone to contact a friend or family member, only collect calls are allowed, but regardless of what they decide they will have to remain in custody for as long as it takes until the booking process has been completed and they have been cleared for bail. If the inmate remains in custody on an open charge (new alleged criminal act) they will go to court in two business days to the Long Beach court house located on the South side of the jail. The address for Long Beach court house is the following:

South District
Long Beach Courthouse
415 West Ocean Blvd.
Long Beach, Ca. 90802

If the arrestee has an out of city warrant he/she will be transferred to either the Los Angeles County Jail or if the warrant is out of a city that has a local non county agency than the may be transferred to that city’s police department.

If one does elect to bail and is in a position to post bail on a new open charge they will find themselves with a new court date between 7 to 30 days out. If the arrestee bails out on a warrant they can expect to have their court date scheduled in approximately 30 days.

It should be noted that non trusty inmates are allowed visiting from Thursday thru Sunday and trusties daily.
the following are the visiting hours for the Long Beach Jail:

Felony 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Thursday through Sunday
Misdemeanor 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday
Trusty 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Daily

Please note the following requirements for visiting inmates as listed by the Long Beach Police Departments website.

• All visitations are done via a video conferencing system at PD headquarters (400 West Broadway)

• Visitors may not have any outstanding warrants, verified through a criminal records check

• An inmate may have two visitations per day, but the second visitation is not a guarantee

• In order to visit, you may not have been in our custody within the last six months

• All jail visitations are subject to cancellation by the Jail Commander

• One child may be admitted with a legal guardian

Diamond Bar Korean Gang home invasion robbers arrested posted by Bail Bondsman in Walnut

Orignally Posted by Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department,

A middle-aged Korean couple was brutally attacked by two masked men when they came home from work to their Diamond Bar home on November 2, 2010. The victims’ hands were bound with zip ties, and a Taser was used on the male victim numerous times. Apparently looking for cash, the suspects then ransacked the home, which is located on the 1400 block of Lemon Avenue.

"While the suspects were burglarizing the home, the female victim was able to free herself during this traumatic ordeal," said Sheriff's Sergeant Steve Kim. "She escaped by jumping off the second floor balcony of the home, then climbing over a wall into her neighbor’s house where she called for help."

Realizing one of the victims had escaped, and not finding any cash, the suspects grabbed several pieces of jewelry and fled through the front door of the house into an awaiting get-away vehicle.

Sheriff's deputies with the Walnut/Diamond Bar Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to the location, assisted by investigators with the Sheriff's Asian Gang Team. During the investigation, detectives learned that one of the suspects, although masked, was a Black male who spoke Korean very well.

In late January of this year, Sheriff's Asian Gang Team Investigators became aware of a month-long FBI undercover sting in partnership with Las Vegas Metro Police in Las Vegas, Nevada. That sting had resulted in the arrest of five members of a Korean organized crime group from Los Angeles, California. The five suspects were arrested on Saturday, January 21, 2011, as they allegedly prepared to rob what they believed was a drug stash house in Las Vegas.

Due to information developed by detectives about the Diamond Bar home invasion robbery during the sting operation, Asian Gang Team investigators went to Las Vegas to continue their investigation.

When they were inteviewed by sheriff's Asian Gang Team detectives in Las Vegas, three of the five Korean-American suspects implicated themselves in the November 2010 Diamond Bar home invasion robbery. They included David Chon (28), James Han (28), and Rene Hypolite (26), all of Los Angeles.

Suspect Rene Hypolite, whose parents are African-American and Korean, spoke Korean very well, while Suspect James Han was identified as the group leader.

During the investigation, three additional suspects were identified as having been involved in the Diamond Bar home invasion robbery. One as the driver of the get-away car, and two as the masterminds of the robbery. One by one, sheriff's Asian Gang Team detectives tracked them down.

Andrew Kim (26) of Los Angeles, was identified as the driver of the get-away car. He was tracked down and arrested by sheriff's investigators at his home in Los Angeles on January 24, 2011.

On January 26, 2011, Young Woo Kim (39) of Los Angeles, was arrested by investigators at a business parking lot in West Los Angeles.

Then on February 3, 2011, Kyung Hwan Choi (38) of Los Angeles, accompanied by his attorney, surrendered to sheriff's investigators at Pomona Court.

Young Woo Kim and Kyung Hwan Choi were identified as the masterminds of the robbery, which included providing the address of the victims to the other suspects.

Andrew Kim was released on bail. Young Woo Kim and Kyung Hwan Choi remain in custody on $2 million bail. Meanwhile, David Chon, James Han, and Rene Hypolite remain in custody in Las Vegas.

All suspects, including the three suspects arrested in Las Vegas, will be charged with the Diamond Bar home invasion robbery in Los Angeles County. They are Suspects David Chon (28 Yrs), James Han (28 Yrs), Rene Hypolite (26 Yrs), Andrew Kim (26 Yrs), Young Woo Kim (39 Yrs) and Kyung Hwan Choi (38 Yrs)
